version 2.0 doesn’t work on osx 10.9.5

version 2.0 doesn’t work on my two mac with osx 10.9.5…

Excellet

I am so happy to see this come over from the iOS platforms. I already use DM1 on both the iPad and iPhone, but I always wished I had something similar on the iMac. I use DM1 mainly to set up drum tracks and metronomes to play keyboard against. Having it on the computer results in a faster/easier set up for me in that the computer is already connected to my speakers/monitors, etc. No more dragging the iPad cables out, connecting it to my speakers, worrying about power, etc. I love the DM1 interface. Simple and elegant. Best of the iOS drum machines, by far, IMHO.

Worthless

Been trying to install for over an hour, every time I try it says "An error has occurred" and tells me nothing else. I have a 64bit processor, macbook pro running 10.8

Great iOS app now on OSX

Great and fun drum machine . Very happy to see it come to OSX !

Glad its on Mac!

The day before this came out on the MAS I searched for "drum machines" hoping to find something similar to DM1 for iOS. Great timing! The app needs a bit of work (some buttons in full screen are redundant and such), but it is a fantastic and easy-to-use drum machine sequencer. Its so much fun to play with.

Fun!!!

Games should be this fun.

Love making Beats with this

Easy to use and fun to play around with. Lets see this work with any DAW!!

i love the ease of use, just wish it could be used as an AU instrument.

Not so hot

Depending on what you want to accomplish with a dedicated drum machine I honestly think you can find a much better one than this no matter what. As a previous review stated, you can barely read the text on certain parts of the screen and I have perfect vision. The kits are god awful and sound manipulation is nearly nonexistent. Dont buy this! Use the $5 and buy me a beer.

great

with ableton drum patterns were a little hard to figure out but with dm1 there are a large amount of selections and the app is real easy to use i reccomend to anyone interested in music production that needs a drum pattern

A welcome find

After trying to use BFD ECO and not being terribly satisfied still, I needed to add percussion sounds and sampled sounds to the lineup. BFD could do it easily enough once you shell out for another module. With DM1, its $5 and you have all that and can import any sample you want. The MIDI mapping to my Alexis Control Pad was simple enough to figure out without a manual. Pretty satisfied for a $5 app. Glad to have it.

Lacks a better variety of acoustic drum kits

If youre into electronic kits, youll be happy with this app. But the presets in the acoustic section pale in comparison. In a sense, that may be fine if their target audience is more interested in the electronic kits. I just mention this as a caution if youre more into acoustic drum kits. Overall, just playing with it a bit, I found this app easy to use and fun to play with. Its easily worth the price. Just personally disappointed at the included acoustic drumset options compared to the abundance of electronic kits.

Really Great Until It Crashed

This app was perfect, but its crashed twice and now it will not open even after reinstallation.

Not ready...

I never write reviews because I am a really lazy human being (sorry), but I felt like I should about this one. I was SOOO excited for this because Izotopes iDrum is terrible and there really arent any other standalone drum machine options this cheap. So I got it and was really disappointed… Hopefully Fingerlab releases some serious updates soon or this app is gonna just go to waste. The DM1: -The font size is laughably small. Someone had to have noticed, pre-release. HAD TO. -Simple enough to just open and go (unless youre using MIDI) because it has some okay built in kits. They all sound pretty similar though.. -If you just want to have fun messing around with some lights that make drum noises, this will be fine for you. Using Learn MIDI on the drum pads was super buggy and ended up not being worth it. If youre planning on using a MIDI controller, wait for a later version. The DM1 has a lot of potential and you cant beat that price, but it is just still so full of problems it makes it about as useful as Babys First Drumkit.

Export

Hey where is the export functionality you highlight in thc docs for DM1 v.3.0. I cant just work with .wav files.

iPad Port

The sounds are not to be used professionally or even the app itself. Its great for users that just want to mess around, as it doesn’t have any useful function if you already own professional software like Logic or Ableton. There is no VST or AU support, only MIDI control input. Seriously if you guys are making this for Mac, at least make it for desktop use. My computer isn’t an iPad.

I like it

I think that this program has great potential but I wish the names on the pads changed when you change synths. I also dont know if you can, but I would love it if I could use recordings and snipits of songs.

Love it!

I have this app on my iPad and its a blast. The Mac app is cool too! Love it!

This is awesome!

Finally a great layout. Took just a few minutes of playing around on it & had a song built. Very cool. I was wanting an easy to use drum machine and thats what I got. Looking forward to recording guitar tracks and mix in the drums with a multi track recorder, vocals, Bass and then on to post edit. A lot cheaper than a drum set. Thank you
